When a Hospital Truly Listens

Heart Month week 2

After Go Red Day and The Morning Blend, something meaningful happened.

We sat down with the team at Summerlin Hospital for a heartfelt interview. Not rushed. Not edited for sound bites. Just time, care, and real listening.

They didn’t just ask what happened.
They asked how it felt.
What changed.
What came after.

Reading their story back, I felt something I don’t take lightly. I felt seen. Not as a patient, not as a headline, but as a person whose experience mattered.

I’m incredibly grateful to the physicians, nurses, and cardiac rehab team at Summerlin Hospital who didn’t just help save my life, but supported me through the part that comes after survival. The physical healing and the emotional reckoning.

Sharing this story wasn’t easy. But if it helps one woman trust her instincts, ask one more question, or advocate for herself just a little sooner, then it’s worth it.

This wasn’t about looking back.
It was about making sure others are better protected moving forward.
